While this diagnostic tool measures your depth of understanding of each of the concepts, it does not measure or predict how well you will ultimately execute each tactic.

Evaluation of the degree of successful execution of each tactic can only be determined in real time, as you are attempting to execute each tactic, either independently or in tandem with each other.

  • How does a diagnostic assessment work?  Diagnostic assessments are designed to help learners better understand their depth of knowledge of in a particular area of acumen.  In this case, the Leadership Tactics Diagnostic measures one’s acumen of the seven leadership tactics that research has proven to be most critical when impacting and influencing the leading of teams or initiatives.  Each tactic has 5 leadership skills which are evaluated via the assessment, so that learners understand (1) what they naturally do well, (2) success inhibitors which may get in their way and (3) how to better apply the tactics in their current role.
  • My company has used personality assessments before. What makes the LTD different? Personality assessments are awesome and we facilitate many here at SDL.  However, they measure workstyles and tendencies (how you lead yourself), while the LTD measures skill and acumen (how you lead yourself to lead others).   The diagnostic was developed with strict attention to proven research theory, is continuously tested to ensure validity, and has consistently received outstanding reviews.
  • I want to use your assessment at my company. How do I get started? For new customers we always recommend setting up a Discovery meeting, to have a talk with us about your organization’s needs and what the best solution would be.
  • How much do your reports cost? One-off assessments, with their interpretive reports, are $275 each.  However, because our approach is specific to each client based on development needs, our pricing varies.  Discounts are available for bulk purchases and package purchases [which includes workshop(s) of choice].
  • Do I have to be certified to use your assessments and reports?  Yes, you need to be certified in the LTD in order to purchase the assessment.  However, we have numerous certified facilitators on staff, which may meet your needs.  Have someone who wants to be certified?  Let us know and we can discuss feasible arrangements.
  • Why do I need to be certified? We require you to be certified because we want you to succeed. By ensuring the proper training, we (1) empower you with a more complete understanding and ability to interpret the data that our assessment provides and (2) guarantee our products are used ethically and legally.

  • I am an individual who wants to take your assessment. We recognize that strategic self-awareness is a critical component of career success, and that the LTD is one of the most effective tools for building that self-awareness in combination with a personal Feedback session from one our consultants.   • Is there a way to see my results? Whether or not you see your assessment results immediately is up to your employer.  If you self-purchase, you will receive your results immediately.
